Subject: Two wealthy men being entertained by two female musicians, a masseuse and a standing courtesan. The various tiny human figures scattered about the design are likely comments on. 14 1/4” x 9 1/2′. Faded, two old repaired holes at top, extensively foxed, slightly creased, backed with old Japanese paper. All of our Japanese woodblock print listings are 100% authentic. Publisher: Minatoya Kohei (Japanese). Japanese Edo period, 1857 (Ansei 4), 11th month. Woodblock print (nishiki-e); ink and color on paper. Vertical ôban; 14 1/4 x 9 5/8′ inches.
