Exquisite Hokusai Waterfall Series. The title is Ono Waterfall on the Kisokaido Road. It is part of Hokusais magnificent Waterfalls series that immediately followed his famous Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji and was originally published during the years of 1833 and 1834. The magnificent Ono Falls where the Kiso River flows over a high rock outcropping along the Kisokaido Road near the village of Kagematsu. Hokusai s masterworks are in the collections of many of the worlds great museums. Among them are the Metropolitan Museum of Art , New York; the Museum of Fine Arts , Boston; the Art Institute of Chicago , Chicago; the British Museum , London; the State Hermitage Museum , Saint Petersburg, Russia; and the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo.
