For sale is this extremely rare thick Japanese encyclopedia from 1819. This book was printed long ago in Japanese history using the wood block printing technique. The pages are frail (possibly rice paper), but are in good condition given the age. It is in fair condition with the front cover rough, and some of the end pages with slight damage (shown in photos). The pages are in good overall condition with only light blemishes. Please see photos for condition. Overall it is a beautiful piece and would look great on display. It has several images printed in it! I have it on display in my personal collection now. This is the first piece like this that I have ever owned, and still think that it is so cool! There really are not that many thick antique books like this on the market, so it would make a great item to preserve in your collection! It came out of a private Japanese book collection, and would be a great addition to any collection! Dont pass it up!
