Year of publication: 1918. Size: 41×17cm (16.1×6.7 inchi). Ukiyoe-Ha-Gashu is the first complete collection of Ukiyo-e in Japan that systematically contains handwritten Ukiyo-e. The first edition was published in 1906-08 and exhibited at the Japan-England Exposition (1910). The exquisite and luxurious woodblock printing technique, which is said to have required 200 times repeated woodblocks to complete a single print, is considered worthy of special mention in the history of Japanese woodblock printing. Ukiyoe-Ha-Gashu was published in several editions, including the first edition in a limited edition of 200 copies, a top-bound edition, and a standard edition.
