Takashi Ito 1932 Japanese Color Woodblock Takegawa River at Dawn Listed

Takashi studied at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and painting with Kiyokata Kaburagi. He eventually became one of the artists working with print publisher Shozaburo Watanabe, designing prints from the 1920s through the 1950s. This print bears Takashi’s seal lower right. It is in good condition perhaps with minor color fading. It measures 15 1/4″ x 10 1/8″ (paper size). Please see my other auctions for more fine paintings and prints. Outstanding 1952 Japanese color woodblock print — Mt. Takashi studied at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and painting with Kiyokata Kaburagi. He eventually became one of the artists working with print publisher Shozaburo Watanabe, designing prints from the 1920s through the 1950s. This Oban format print bears Takashi’s printed signature and seal lower left as well as the Watanabe 6 mm publisher seal lower left. It is in good condition with color fading and two pin-head sized holes in the upper margin (about 1/4 from the edge of the paper). It measures 10 5/8″ x 15 5/8″ (paper size).
