The print portion measurements look to be about 8.75 inches tall by 6.5 inches. Has minor scratches and knicks on the frame.

Born in Asakusa, Tokyo in 1898, Shirani studied Japanese-style painting under Kaburaki Kiyokata at the age of 14, and continued his activities in the Tatsumi Gakkai and the Goudokai. Geisoudo began his printing career in 1952 and published more than 100 works. His works featuring various parts of Japan have been re-evaluated in recent years, and exhibitions of his works have been held in various places as the “last shin-hanga” works. Was an important artist in the Shin. He trained under the ukiyo. For 19 years, and initially focused on works depicting scenes from the First Sino-Japanese War. In 1931, at the age of 60, he began work for Shozaburo. And his art publishing establishment which also published the work of artists like Kawase Hasui.
