For sale is an unframed, rare six panel oban sized hexaptych Japanese woodblock print by Utagawa Sadahide. Size is 14 1/2″ by 59″. Date is unknown to me, likely 1850s. Condition is very good, right panel has a two inch vertical tear, and there is minor fraying on top edge, some creasing, but no stains, holes or discoloration, color is strong. Original 19th-century Japanese Woodblock Print by Yoshitoshi. Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s invasions of Korea, 1866. A tremendous and fairly early triptych by Yoshitoshi. Yoshitoshi produced many triptychs of Kuniyoshi-inspired war scenes from the period of the warring states and the great Pacification. A great Yoshitoshi triptych. These prints are uncommon; this is in very good condition. Colour and impression very good some slight trimming and backed. 70 x 34 cm.
