This woodblock print has beautiful colors and nice crisp lines. Outline around picture and title is in black. Upper edge of wood block is affixed to the paper matting. Printed description is affixed to the matting. Writing in pencil on the front of matting is my own. The print has been kept wrapped in a closet for 38 years. I found this piece a while ago in a thrift store and I had the feeling that it was the real deal so I sent it to the famous appraiser, Dr. Lori and it is. Here is her report. Description: A Japanese woodblock print by Hokusai Katsushika from the series entitled Thirty-six views of Mt. This work is entitled Ommayagashi in Twilight over Ryogoku Bridge Mt. Fuji in the distance. The print depicts a group of figures in a boat in the sea near the famous Ryogoku bridge with the majestic Mt. This is a very good late 19 th/early 20th Century impression in the artist’s characteristic style. Condition: Based on the photographs provided by the client, the piece is in excellent condition consistent with age and wear. Dimensions (in inches): 9 x 6 inches. Expert Evaluation of Your Object.
