Woodblock japanese book, around 1800. 120 Pages, fukurotoji (poach binder) japanese binding on washi paper, well preserved, woodworm traces as seen on photos, however the traces do not affect the images. Inside I found a dried ginko biloba leaf, probably the owner wanted to dry it. Colorful prints drawn too by Shimokoube Shuusui, as it mentioned on 2nd photo. No publisher data that I’ve recognized but there’s a date. 1788 year (, Tenmei 8th year). By brush of Asada Shunkei? But could be red as Shunkyou. People (poets) drawn by Fujita Motome. Many of the example sentences accompany the four seasons and five verses, and in the latter half, examples of dating, such as weddings, childbirth, original clothes, etc. Sickness greetings, plights, and cherry blossom invitations are listed. As a general rule, the main text is written in large letters, five lines, and a memorandum, but it includes several scattered writings. “Ise Go”, “Chiku Shikoto / Thirteenth Ensemble”, “Women’s Three Obedience (Oshiegusa)”, “Waka Short Figure”, “Striped Complimentary Figure” “Figure”, “Thirty-six Kasen”, “Amendment to Reform”, “Announcement of Supplementary Morning”, “Excerpts of the Secret of Sakuroku”.
