Tamiya Botaro Munechikas father was murdered when Tamiya was young; however he vowed revenge. Later he learned Martial artsfrom the Tengu king. In this scene he is in pursuit of his fathers murderer with the tengu spirit guiding him. The ghostly figure is beautifully rendered with his feet disappearing into a cloud of ink splash. This print is from an earlier series marked by the long signature box and colored story box. It has an album paper backing and a few very small wormholes.
