There are, however, many prints of tender and intimate scenes featuring the same woman and child over several years of the child’s growth among his works. Measured: the print is about 36.5 cm x 24.5 cm, the Frame is 23 x 18.5 and frame with clear glass using glass featuring TruGuard, UV light blocking protection. Condition: pre-owned in very good condition, the paper is brown per aged but the color still bright, please see picture. We can not do anything about items misused by buyers. RARE! 1930's Shotei Hiroaki Evening Scene Original Japanese Woodblock Print

15 -1/2″ x 12 -1/4″ (Frame); 10 x 7 (Creped Paper). A beautiful and uncommon Shotei design. The wood frame was crafted by a descendant of Robert O. Muller and used exclusively for chuban size works. UV-Glass and custom acid-free matte. Chirimen-gami-e (“crepe paper”) or sometimes referred to as’crepon’. Ukiyo-e crepe prints were produced at least as early as 1800 in Edo, and throughout the nineteenth century they were used on occasion for alternate states of some ukiyo-e designs.
