Size: Oban tate-e: 14″ x 10″ approx. Description: From the series Heroes of the Popular Histories of the Three Kingdoms One by One. Tsuzoku Sangokushi Eiyu no Ichi-min. Gentoku (Emperor Shoretsu) atride his horse, about to plunge into a ravine. See Robinson The Warrior Prints S10.5 where the horse is described as’black’, so either Robinson made an error or this is an alternative colouring. Condition: A little trimmed at top and base. Two light tape stains at superior corners. Slight rubbing towards base. Minor marks and flaws. Generally good state of preservation. Fine color, condition, and impression. Print has not been framed and retains original colors. Strong texture and ink penetration on fine Japanese washi. Print measures 15.7 x 10.4 inches.
